There is a man who goes around this strip mall where I shop a lot. His life is all in a shopping cart. He goes through the garbages several times a day. He does not beg, loiter, or drink. I told him he "dropped" 20 dollars. I wish him well.

i've got offered nutrition, given money to human beings status on the nook, donated to agencies for the homeless or maybe took a girl that replaced into harm to the well-being facility. actually, i could help so plenty greater homeless human beings, yet regrettably it somewhat is in basic terms not risk-free too. some human beings take great ingredient approximately your kindness and might attempt to wreck you. it somewhat is ashame society has come to that, because of the fact many each physique is compassionate and nevertheless have faith in assisting those in want.

Yes, on several occasions. I've let a few even stay with me before. I knew them, even though they weren't close friends, so I let them stay for 1-3 months, in order to get their feet back on the ground. One of my closest friends became a father last year (surprise!), and has been in dire straits on and off for about a year. I have "donated" almost 1K to him, until he and his girlfriend were able to get on their feet. It's just money, and even though I don't have much, I can always earn more.

I know a lot of homeless people.
there are a lot of them where I live.

the last time I tried to help a bum out of the kindness of my heart was when I lived in Seattle.
He was begging me for change, I handed him all that I had in my pocket (it wasnt much at all)
he THREW it at me and started spitting and cussing at me.

it wasnt a good time.

Yes, I have done voluntary work at a shelter for the homeless more than once. Get involved people, its good for the soul and good for the souls you are helping.

Tried to. A guy asked me for 5bucks when I was going in to McDonalds, because he was hungry. So I when I ordered my food, I also got him something to eat and something to drink. I came out of the store and tried to give it to him, this bastard got an attitude with me and said I asked for 5bucks not something to eat. I called him every funky name I could think of.
