No...factory LS6 and LS7 engines of the early 70's put out around 450 HP. Best to go with a 4 bolt block, open port heads and pistons, good crank and valve train and free flowing headers, exhaust/intake to maximize HP. Big blocks love to breath. High compression ratio's can be a problem getting gas. Nitrous would be easy way to go.

Not so much hard to acheive, but a little pricey.Your best results will come from a good set of heads. If that doesn't get you enough,a supercharger will definitely do it.But I wouldn't suggest either, unless it's on a fresh rebuild. An engine can't stand the change in compression or boost if it's not built for it.Good luck.

NO, CAN BE DONE WITHOUT TURBO, SUPERCHARGER, OR NITROUS FAIRLY EASILY. THE RIGHT CAM, HEADS AND PISTONS AND YOU GOT IT. G.M. DID IT RIGHT FROM THE FACTORY.

if you have to ask, then for you it'll be difficult unless you have lots of money and are willing to pay someone.
