yea its different actors same bond. i think the conversation you are talking about is when M regrets making bond a 00. that confused me also until i found out that casino royale is based off of the first bond book, and i was confused because this was the most recent bond movie, so i thought it took place after the other movies.

Yes. There's no way they could have people like Roger Moore still playing James Bond in the current movies and still get a decent box office turnout.

someone once told me that in "On her Majesty's Secret Service" Bond says that his name is in fact a code name.
This gave me a interesting idea once.
What if they were to do a "Ultimate Bond" movie.
a story line me and some others have come up with is: One of the Bonds is on assignment against some organization they have all ties to. Maybe its the remaints of the one that Conery and Moore fought all those years. When the main guy gets in trouble, to save him the other bonds (I want them all to return for it) have to come and save the day.

yes. its the same person. how mant people do you know that have the exact same name?? the 00's dont need code names, thats why they have NUMBERS. and if you've seen any of the other movies you'll know that the other 00's all have their own names.
this movie is the begining of his carrear, when he first gets his oo status.

different oo too they seem that the level is reach through skil of killing as an assisin not an agent they are all ready!
now i think Roger moore may have continuded the Sean Connery as the same charater, Bronson and Craig cretated there on Bond!
