I have before, you're right it does feel awkward. I've only gone alone to see a movie if the movie is over the top awesome. Usually, I've already seen the film with friends or family. I just have to go back and see it again, since it's so great, but I don't want to or can't get anyone to see it again with me. It has to be a really great movie and one that I just can't get out of my mind, which rarely happens. These days, they make so many movies, it's easy to wait and rent it when it comes out in DVD.

I did like 7 years ago... the first one was Atlantis and I went alone to some other movies. I liked my singleness and independence, so I thought I'd try out new things to do on my own! I figured, being surrounded by a bunch of kids, I wouldn't feel so awkward. It was fun, I guess! lol I don't think I'd do it now though... I'm too lonely to go alone. I would rather go with my sisters or friends. I've also eaten alone in a restaurant. That's nice, cuz you can take a magazine or book along and just relax, or watch the football game on the overhead TV or something. But still, now, I just don't want to be alone...

If I wanted to see a certain movie in the theater bad enough and I could not get any of my friends/family members/significant other to see it with me, I'd certainly go on my own. However, if it is a movie that I could wait for it to come on video for, I'd wait.

I have. It is awkward, but I really wanted to see that movie, and no one wanted to go with me! I could almost feel the weight of everyones stares!

I've done it before, but most often I try to recruit at least one friend to accompany me, because it's more fun with someone else, and there is less of a chance that I'll wind up sitting next to some crazy old bird who wants to talk through the whole bloody film!

Oh yeah!...If you think thats awkward..Try going to dinner by yourself...That was awkward, yet brave. But Sure id go to the movies alone.

I have before and it was OK. Maybe not at night time - I don't know why that makes a difference!

yeah I would, I am the type of person who needs my space, don't have to be in a crowd to have fun all the time.
