I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer and the wipers start and stop on their own when the switch is turned on. I have heard about the controller board, but what is this and what should I try first before I replace the motor and all of that expensive stuff? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Had a Ford F-150 pickup that did the same thing. Its in the control switch. Just riding down the road and wipers come on for a swish or two. If you can live with that, let it go. If not, you'll have to have the control switch fixed.

Could just have a bad relay!

mine was just a bad fuse
they use a breaker fuse on that one
i swaped it and it worked fine
