the square root of 5/2 you need to use a calculator for, no other way...i guess you could do: root 5 / root 2 and mutiply by root 2 / root 2 and get root 10 / 2

(2 - *6*)(4 + *6*) = 8 + 2(*6*) - 4(*6*) - 6 = 2 - 2(*6*)

y<1/2> is the same thing as the square root of y
y/(root y - 2) cant really be simplified

5<3/2> is the same thing as the square root of 5 cubed, and since 5 cubed is 125, it is the square root of 125
so you can simplify it to 5(square root of 5)
and then 10 / 5(s.r. of 5) can be simplified to 2 / (s.r. of 5) and then you multiply that by (s.r. of 5/s.r of 5) to get....
2(s.r. of 5)/5

hope you understand that....

I'm not sure if you meant to post it that way, it looks like a bad HTML code.

I'd try to use a search engine to look for the actual steps to solve the problem. Or check your school's home page, sometimes teacher's post criteria on the site.

The way it shows is hard to read what's to the power and whats a fraction etc etc.

Sorry pal.
