This has been going on for years in high schools. They have national guards that kids sign up for points and credits.
Shame.

Maybe if some of these kids knew what it was to follow rules, everyone dressed the same, how to respect authority, have pride in accomplishments, not take anything for granted like food and sleep, etc. etc. etc.
Maybe, we would have less disrespectful know it all punk gang banging wanna be's, that would value the freedom their forefathers gave them....
Quit your whining! This country has a lot of misguided, disrespectful, unappreciative, unmotivated, spoiled, lazy, "BUZZED" expect it handed to you young people, not all, but a lot!!! and you know I am right!!!! So do even try!!!!
Haliburton has nothing to do with training high school students. Where the heck did you get that.......
Community guidelines says NO VENTING son!!!

That's a good thing. If they want to throw their lives away, they may as well do it with a purpose than on the streets for no purpose.
What's wrong with a young adult being trained by the military. They have a chance to learn a trade for when they get out of school. Remember BONE HEAD it's a voluntary military.
There are more jobs in the military than being a grunt.
They will also have college waiting for them when they finish their commitment.
You need to lighten up and get a grip. Get rid of that pent up hate....I know it would be miserable being you.

I don't see them having programs established that encourage high school kids signing up for the PEACE Corps! This is always to support War not PEACE! This is the direction and mentality of these people. This is the only thing they are capable of thinking about! It's a SAD world when you take a child and teach him war is the answer!

Just where the heck have you been for the past number of years? JROTC had been around a long time and it generally is a pretty good program to teach young people how to be more responsible.

Who's been brainwashed?
High school military programs for those who are interested seems to me like an excellent idea.
By the way, they've been around for a long time, they're not a new invention.

My son was in JROTC all four years in high school. I can guarantee you that none of the boys or girls were in GANGS. They don't brain wash them they teach them leadership skills and how to work together as a team. I think it was one of the best things that happened to him while he was in school.
