O'Reilly filed a lawsuit against this lady AFTER she filed charges of sexual harassment against him. Then, not only did O'Reilly drop his suit, but he also paid the lady to drop hers. What gives?

Bill O'Reilly is known as lecherous and has been involved in several scandals like this. Which is why I find him reprehensible. How any responsible person can believe his lies and distortions defies belief.

Unlike most of the posts here, I can't make a statement that he actually did pay the woman.
"The New York Daily News, citing unidentified sources, reported that O'Reilly had agreed to pay Mackris anywhere from $2 million to $10 million. Separately, the New York Post said it was believed that O'Reilly paid "multimillions of dollars" to settle the suit."
"O'Reilly lawyer Ronald Green had said he believed there were tapes of conversations between the two and asked a court to compel Mackris to produce them so they could be played publicly."
"O'Reilly's lawyer Green, issued a statement saying the cases and claims had been withdrawn and all parties agreed there was no wrongdoing by O'Reilly, Mackris or Mackris' lawyer Benedict Morelli."
"Green's statement about the settlement did not mention money, and it could not be learned immediately whether it was a factor.
"Out of respect for their families and privacy, all parties and their representatives have agreed that all information relating to the cases shall remain confidential," Green's statement said. "
As you see, there is no difinitive information to show that he paid her to drop the suit. Maybe, she paid him to drop the suit, since she was asked to produce the tapes of the "alleged harassment".

The first person to answer you , clearly shows the generalized, wholesale apathy among fox news viewers to anything that does fit into their black and white neo-con reality.

Didn't want to ruin his moral superiority. remember, the act only occurs to right-wingers, if they are caught and the media finds out.

the fact that hes a bush supporter is irrelevent and pretty damn ignorant unless you think theres some conncetion between a sexual harassment suit and our President. When someone murders another person they dont put "he was a kerry supporter" next to the damn name so dont do the same. leave his business private i guess

She must have had something on him to embarrass him or he wouldn't have settled.
