Storylines are on-screen acting and wrestling segments that do tell a story.. Think back to the famous Austin vs McMahon feud, that was a storyline and not a real feud because the two are friends in real life..

ie: the storyline of the orton vs jericho feud is:
1.someone leaves mysterious messages saying "save us 222"
2.The messages are reveiled to be the returning chris jericho
3.jericho challenges for wwe title.

Yes it is a script, like a movie script. The wrestlers act out the scripts just like movie or tv actors do.

the script ..they are athletes that act ,though just like the movies wrestlers can have real problems with other wrestlers and make it a little more real...
