They sleep, it is just very difficult to see them when they sleep. They would probably appreciate not being looked after dark, because they are ever alert for predators. Let them get some rest.

They sleep rarely, maybe 5 minutes a night, if you mean real unconscious sleep. You may never see it, as the rabbit won't go to sleep unless it's really quiet and secure.
But they do spend many hours dozing. They sit there quietly with their eyes open, but resting and relaxed. This is not our idea of sleep, but it serves most of the purpose of sleeping.
This works for wild rabbits because than react instantly if any danger approaches.

Yes they sleep. It's possible that he's sleeping during the day when you're out and about and not watching him, or else he's taking lots of little naps -- whenever no one's around. They're nervous creatures and he won't sleep when he hears anyone around. You've got to give him time to himself though -- quiet time in order to get the rest and sleep he needs. He can't be around noise and activity 24/7.

Yes, mostly during daylight and the middle of the night. They are most active at dawn and dusk, and tend to sleep lightly, so your rabbit probably wakes whenever you are around.

Yeah of course they do.
If he is quiet and sitting he's most likely sleeping. Not many rabbits lay flat out when they are asleep.

Err yes - but they are hard wired to be on constant alert for predators, so if he's asleep and you go to check on him, he's awake before you get within ten feet!
