Shawn Marion is a far better defensive player, and would fit in well with Kobe as a spot up shooter. Odom thinks he's the next Magic Johnson and the Lakers already have ball handling guards, Kobe, Fisher, Farmar. They don't need another one. If I was the Lakers GM, I would make that trade yesterday.

I really don't know what to say!!! Lamar and Marion r pretty much the same in my eyes. Marion's just a better player (defensively)
Both can put up 15-20 points a game.

if this was possible, i would say yes to the trade. Although Odom is more a good ball handler, passer and bigger, Shawn is more athletic, faster and a good defender.
Both don't have pretty good shooting.
the key thing about shawn is his defense and since the Lakers need it a lot, it shows that Shawn would be a good trade for Lamar.

I don't want them to, he has been doing pretty good since they started this season. I think him, Fisher, and Bryant can be considered somewhat of a Big 3. Odom does stuff that not many can do, besides making the deal wouldn't mean alot.

Why would the Suns, mess up their chemestry when they still have a good run at making it to the finals?
Shawn Marion, does all the dirty work for the suns, while Amare and Nash get all the praise, he is very under appreciated, for what all he brings to the team...

no, because the lakers dont have any pieces to trade for marion. marion is much better than odom. better scorer, better rebounders, better blocker, better defender, better shooter.
