Are they requiring the original or a copy? If all you need to present to them is a copy, print out the scan you have and turn it in as a copy. If they are requiring more than a self-made copy, go to site below and find your state's contact info for obtaining a replacement.

no. sorry a scan copy will not work, besides it is illegal in most states,, but they might accept it,,, what they are asking for is an official certified record,,, not the hospital certificate
what you need to do is google "obtaining a birth cirtificate for the state of _________" or "vital statistics for the state of ____"
you should find out how to order them through your states health or vital records... you can rush order them or get them regular mail,,,
also the web pages should tell you where your local office can help... might as well get at least 3 copies.. you will need them for the future

They might want to see the original, with the state seal on it, but might accept the copy until you can get an original one.

I called my county records and they sent me a new certified copy express mail. It was there within 48 hours and cost about 6 dollars.
