for my class, we have to do a how-to-speech where we are graded on how well we deliver step-by-step instructions on a certain performance.
I WANT MINE TO BE CHRISTMAS-RELATED.
but i cant think of anything thats not stupid!

i already thought of a graham gingerbread house but apparently you have to wait 1 hour for it to cool down- not cool.

something that has to do with food.
i actually dont find 'create christmas cards' interesting.
PLEASE HELP?

I used to do something I was very comfortable with, like how to make a sandwich. If your theme is Christmas, consider doing something like, how to make a stocking, how to decorate a tree, how to make a wreath etc. Find something that you are comfortable with, it will help the speech go over better. You could even explain something as simple as how to make paper snowflakes or how to decorate Christmas cookies. Have fun with it! I hope that helps! - s

You could do a how to demonstration on making a green (eco) Christmas wreath using a wire hanger and plastic bags from the dry-cleaners. Bend the hanger into a round shape, cut the plastic bag into approximately 1" x 4" strips and tie them onto the hanger. You will need quite a few but the results are quite nice. We did similar wreaths in grammar school with tissue paper in the same size, folded in half and twisted over the hanger. We used the classroom paper cutter to get enough strips.

Is there a hot plate to cook on? If so, how about rock candy? It's like magic!

Make some at home a couple of days ahead of time, then at the end of your demonstration, whip out the giant crystals that have been forming at home. Bring enough to share. Leave your new batch in the classroom so kids can watch its progress over the next few days, then use it for decorations. Here is the recipe
