My personal preference is
If a tree is a green one, just decorate it with Gold ribbon bows No other ornaments Except a Gold Star. You can do this in Silver, Red, Electric Blue.
Another way is to just do it with one color either gold, silver red, blue pink.
Of course you must have a good amount of lights but let the lights Also be of one color- I dislike the multi-colored lights so cheesy!
Have fun and Seasons Greetings

That's a very elegant color for a dinning room. I would suggest white, because it compliments burgundy. During Christmas time everyone wants to stay towards the candy cane and Christmas tree look, but the white will give your burgundy dinning room a Christmasy feeling, but it also looks like a gingerbread. Hope that helped

I dont spend Christmas at my home, we go out of town to my parents every year for Christmas, so we dont spend the time or money putting up a tree.

If we did, it would be purple and silver. My mom made me a purple wreath that I hung in my living room all year long, but it burned in my house a year ago. She has promised me a new one this year.

One day my Tree has white lights, the next Day it has colored lights. Then on the 3rd day, it's both. It has 1600 lights, controlled by remote control. I like to use all different colored ornaments. Some of them are antiques and must be handled with extra care.

multicolored lights with different kinds of ornaments. My mom always buys a christmas ornament on every vacation or country we visit.... so there isn't really a color theme to our tree, but it looks really nice.

green tree with mulit-color bulbs - starting at the bottom with big ones going to the top with small and multi colored lights - several strings inside closer to the trunk and several sets on the outer brances! very old fashioned and very nice! no gold glitzy tin stuff!
