"inertia of rest" - the tendency of the body to remain inactive and lazy after several days of taking it easy and doing nothing but relaxation.

For some of us, tomorrow (Monday) is back to drudgery day. It had been a truly stress-free 4 1/2 days (Thanksgiving holidays) but it all ends now. I'm just not ready for Monday yet. What can I do? Help pleaseeeeee!

that happens most of the time to me especially after a long holiday.

i really have no choice but to snap out of it, no matter how difficult (who'd want being a corporate slave when you can be your own master at home? hehe!) but then again my work pays the rent and sustains my way of living (in the first place, i won't get to travel or eat out or buy DVDs for my DVD marathons during my non-work days without my salary) so i just rouse then drag myself out of bed to go to work.

oh, by the way, it won't hurt if you have something worthwhile to see in the office when you get back, like a cute officemate, perhaps? te he! :)

Am not doing anything special. Yea, a body at rest will remain motionless until an outside force acts upon it. In my case the prime mover is the need to pay my creditors, so tomorrow it's back to the salt mines again.

Enjoy life now young lady, it's gonna get tougher after school I'm telling you.

Just do it, donya!...there's no other way. Wake up early, do your kikay thing and off to school you go. Stop whining and just do it. In a couple of weeks, you'd be on vacation again...ah, the easy life of a student!!! I sure miss those days!

I usually think of the many bills I have to pay. If I don't get on with my work, then, I won't have something to pay for all those bills. It's a very good inducement not to get lazy.

Scenario:
A person thinking of its future...
¿When I get old and reach the age that I don't have to work anymore, "inertia of rest" the rest of my life, could I afford it?
