USC has a good coaching staff that can work out the kinks with a forever changing team - so yes it is alot like the Patriots for the simple fact that they have a good gameplan to work out the entire team so they can work smoothly.

Its the other way around, the patriots are the USC of the NFL. Especially this year. They can score at will and dominate all who oppose them. Now they are undefeated, but even if they lose i guarantee it will be close. Just like USC. The Trojans are a whopping 70-6 over 5 years. That is rediculous. Only the colts can claim a record close to that in the NFL. Yet and still, in terms of the patriots and USC being in the hunt for the title you are right in saying that. Had it not been for two losses over the last 2 years for USC we would be looking at 4 time National champions. The trojan dynasty is still in place because of the recruiting and coaching and the same can be said of new england. Those guys had average joes the first couple of years and won super bowls. How does a coach do that? He has to be very good or a genius to pull that off. Also, to the guy/girl whining that SC cheats i dont see how, if bush accepted money, he didnt accept it from SC, it was his former agent. Second. Everyone knows the trojans won fair and square, it isnt cheating to accept money. Cheating would go to New England as the coach got fined 500 g's for video taping the jets or better still cheating is never admitting that they fumbled the ball against Oakland in 01. (the snow bowl)

The main difference is that the Patriots had to beat progressively better teams in the playoffs to get to the Super Bowl, whereas USC's competition is one game, the Rose Bowl. Up until this year it was no contest for them in the PAC-10.
