It simply wont clasp any more. What kind of repair shop do I take it to for this .Auto body? How much should I exspect to pay?

here is what you do, open the hood take off the radiator cap, discard old car and drive a new one under the radiator cap and then put cap back on, I would suggest a Ford.

A dealer or bodyshop can replace the belt assembly unless it's something simple to repair such as a foreign object stuck in the latch. Belt assemblies can run a hundred dollars or more plus labor to install. Used belts are an option if they are not torn or frayed and have not been damaged but there are many styles and colors which may make them harder to obtain.

just spray some wd-40 and push the button alot
