NOD32 is an anti-virus package sold by another company besides Kapersky Labs, unless Wikipedia is badly out of date. I'm running a slightly older version of Kapersky's A/V product and NOD32 isn't there.

Question: Do you have two firewalls installed and active at the same time? Dueling firewals is a guaranteed headache. They get in each other's way. If you have the WinXP firewall installed, it hates Kapersky's Firewall. Since NOD32 does not appear to be part of Kapersky based on my net search, I have to assume you have dueling anti-virus checkers. That is not good. One of them has to go if that is actually the case.
