Because your nervous system is aware of what you are doing. When someone else tickles you, you do not expect it, nor do you know exactly where that person is going to ticke you.

However, try tickling the bottom of your feet with your nails. Some people say that is the only part you can ticklet yourself. At least thats what my cousin has said.

I think its possible.

Sometimes when i have an itch on the bottom
of my foot and i try to scratch it,
it tickles..it kinda makes me mad cause then
i have to rub my foot along
the floor.
Hahaha

I think it's because you know you are doing it. You are used to your own touch. The touch of someone else is what makes you laugh.

probably because we are used to the way we feel when we touch ourselves. but if a foreign object touches us, we don't know how it will feel
