If You're needing to know Year Model for buying parts, etc,,,,,
They are pretty much All the same with only very, very few exceptions.
Most parts will fit all years.

They DID change from Points Ignition to CDI/Electronic in last few years

I hope that helps

The 10th digit, might be a letter, of the VIN gives you the year. I'm not sure what serial number you posted, looks like an engine number. The VIN will be stamped into the frame somewhere. 1984 (E) 1985 (F) 1986 (G) 1987 (H) 1988 (J), 1989 (K), 1990 (L), 1991 (M), 1992 (N), 1993 (P), 1994 (R), 1995 (S), 1996 (T), 199 7(V), 1998 (W), 1999 (X), 2000 (Y)------2001(1), 2002 (2), 2003 (3)

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.
