Same sex marriages should be legal. Hopefully one day it will be again in the United States. People are so ignorant, they believe whatever they hear about same sex couples and any child they have custody over or whatever.
Unstable family? Heck no. First thing, that has nothing what so ever to do with same sex marriage. Since when do you have to be married to live together or raise a child?
Second, same sex couples are just as loving as any other couple can be. There is no difference besides their gender.
What causes an unstable family in my opinion? Ignorance, the teachings of hate, abuse, lying, cheating...those sorts of things. I didn't know love caused things to be unstable. Love stabalizes EVERYTHING if given a chance.

I don't think it's about being dumber, it's more about using arguments that make one look ignorant. A few common examples of this are Appeal to Tradition, Appeal to Majority, and Appeal to a False Authority. Fallacy: "Gay marriage is not right because millions of American oppose it. In recent polls, the majority of Americans just don't want it." Why it's a fallacy: This is an Appeal to the Majority. Just because the majority people believe in something, it doesn't make it right or fair. Remember, the majority of Americans once also believed that segregation was the right thing to do. We have a Constitution to protect people from this Tyranny of the Majority. Fallacy: "Marriage has ALWAYS been between one man and one woman! Who are they to change that?" Why it's a fallacy: This is an Appeal to Tradition. Just because something has always been one way or the other doesn't make it right. Children were always forced to work in industrialized society until we outlawed the practice. The world was always thought to be flat until we found out it wasn't. Fallacy: "The Bible says homosexual acts are a sin." (When used as an argument) Why it's a fallacy: The Bible isn't a universally accepted authority on morality.

No honey. Straight marriage causes unstable families. You did notice the divorce rate right?

You picked the wrong forum to ask such an inflammatory question.
Same-sex marriage actually strengthens families.
Because I don't know how ignorant you really are, I'm not going to report you. But if you're looking for moralistic propaganda saying gays shouldn't marry, try one of the religion forums

HELLLLL NOOOO, personally I think gay couples will try harder then straight couples because society expects them to fail. They have so much going against them that to also have the stigma of a divorce and broken family is too much for gay couples to bare. Straight couples give up in a marriage too easily.

Lokk honey, I was raised by a heterosexual couple. Dad drank, mom slept around. There was no love no happiness! If a happy gay couple had wanted to adopt me and show me the love and attention I craved, I'd have jumped on the chance!!! :@)

They won't. I am sure, there are many "unstable" hetero families, hmm, kind of like mine is! There are not going to be any credible webpages that tell you this.
