Because I'm just not seeing it. As a 12 year veteran of the armed services he is (in my opinion) the worst president we have ever had. No insults please. Just honest answers from people who think he is a good president.

Some of these answers are good honest answers. I can't say I agree with them but I appreciate them. I think that a president's job is to make the average American's life better. Well, mine isn't better. I teach school and on that salary it's hard to afford gas back and forth to work to say nothing of rent and food prices. My life is much harder now than it was 7 years ago. As far as Clinton's recession goes, that's a bunch of crap. We had a huge surplus of money that Bush gave away (buying votes is what I called it). I didn't get any of it, but why give that money away? It was the 1st surplus we (America) had in a very long time.

As far as mending relations with France and Germany, relations were fine before he got in office. How do I know this? Because I was in France and Germany before he got into office.

Everything is so distorted it is hard to distinguish right from wrong, good from bad anymore. People will justify their own reasons why he is good and why he is bad. All I know about him is what I have heard. Some of it positive and some negative. Such is life!

I agree with the first poster. Clinton left us heading into a recession, I have the Times magazine article of 1999 that even says so. Anyways President Bush didn't have much time to fix it before 9/11 and yet he managed even after 9/11 to bring us back up. Maybe you could thank him for that. After all a lot of our economic problems is irresponsible spending in this country. I think you need to pay less attention to what you hear and read in the news.

I think it's sad when you can't find one good thing in a person. It's hard for me to understand. Right now he is mending relations with France and Germany, our economy is doing good, he is trying to rid the world of terrorists. How can you as a veteran soldier find ousting terrorists a bad thing? He's kept us moral in that he's not allowed the partial birth abortion or embryonic cell thing, we still even tho a fight have our freedom to religion, he's kept the country free of terrorist attacks since 9/11. We haven't had several hits like we did in the last administration. I could go on and on. I would think tho you could find one thing if you wanted to. It's terrible what the media has done to this country.

I think he has had to make decisions that inside tear him up but they are things he genuinely believed were in the best intrest of the country. Regardless of what the news media says, he is not Darth Vader's brother...

I would say he has certainly been the most disappointing. He came into office with so much promise and good will - he had the whole world behind him after 9/11. And then....

What happened to all his "compassionate conservatism" and being a "uniter not a divider" - it seems to me that he won two elections, and lost the heart and soul of the country in the process.

He has found a way to completely overthrow the System of Checks and Balances with his "executive orders." I don't know if that makes him a good president, but it is impressive for a single person to create his own government policies that oppose a democratic system that has worked for 200+ years.

To those answering with negatives you aren't answering the question. It's aimed at those who think the President does good!!!

What you see is what you get. No phonies here.
He does what he says and doesn't sway with the wind, He sees a cause greater than him self and doesn't put image ahead of doing what's right., He is a gentleman in the face of classless name calling and false accusations.
