How convenient for at least the two teams mentioned below in a new Yahoo posting from Rivals.com:

Hawaii (11-0) is 12th in the BCS standings this week. A non-BCS league team is guaranteed a BCS spot in two ways. One is if it finishes in the top 12......

........No. 4 this week is Georgia, which is ranked 10 spots higher than Tennessee despite two things: 1. The Vols beat the Bulldogs in their head-to-head matchup; and 2. The Vols won the SEC East ahead of Georgia. A team that doesn't win its conference title is guaranteed an at-large spot in the BCS if it finishes in the top four in the standings.

the BCS doesnt look at head to head wins.

its a crappy system but its the best out there. no playoff system will be good enough because there are just to many teams out there.

I agree with just about everything that anyone has to say about the BCS, but there really is no solution. There are simply too many teams. I hear people constantly talking about a playoff system, but then there will be the same arguments being thrown out there for who qualifies for the playoffs.

I think the BCs as a whole is fixed.

It doesnt care about talent or ability, it cares more for name recognition and who will sell more tickets. If they want a real National Champion, they should have the BCS champ play the Non BCS champ and settle the argument.

the bcs isnt fixed, it's just a stupid contrived system. oh sure it's fun to talk about but it's no different than when voters picked a national champ. thast was fun to talk about too. playoff or shove-off bcs!

BCS system is junk. College 1A football needs a playoff system.

Georgia deserves it, as besides USC, they may be the team no one wants to play right now.

Hawaii doesn't.
