Being a Mom, this is my suggestion. Go over to her house sometime and find a picture of you and her together when you were young. Get it enlarged, you can do this at a Walmart and it's pretty cheap as long as it's not a professional photo, and frame it. Then write a nice letter thanking her for all the things she's done for you over the years of your life. She'd love that I'm sure, I know I would.

Pay attention to her during the next few weeks for clues as to something that would make her life easier. Coming from a mother, the best gifts are those that are thought out or simply the gift of time. Spend all of Christmas day with her, help her cook, etc etc. That will be the most memorable. Make her a scrapbook of your lives together or a photo collage or something like that if you wish.

A locket with your picture in it. A day together doing things you both like. It could be as simple as playing games, doing a jigsaw puzzle, organizing family photos or baking cookies. Time spent with a loved one is a priceless gift!

mom's tend to be sentimental...get her a digital picture frame with a good amt of memory and then try to scan as much pic from ur childhood of her and u or even the entire fam as u can and put them on the card so they display in chronological order...or if ur broke like the rest of us for the holidays (haha) just create a really nice scrap book with pictures and quotes here and there. she'll love it, i guarantee.

Think about what she would enjoy. What does she like to do? Maybe a gift certificate to a nice restaurant. You could always write her a nice poem that expresses how much you appreciate her and why.

I usually get my mom gift cards so she can get what she wants, or a gift certificate for a pedicure, manicure, or massage!! Being a mom...I would LOVE any of those!

Start noticing the little things that she likes. Be creative. Take her to a special place (a place that is meaningful to her) and show her your gift .
