Every birth control pill I have seen says that some antibiotics can make the pill less effective. The patch is the same hormones as the pill, only delivered to your body in a different way. Therefore, there is a very real possibility that your patch is not effective right now and you should use a condom.
The best way to find out for sure is to ask your pharmacist whether amoxicillin interferes with your patch.

Yes Amoxicillan will effect your birth control and actually there should be a sticker on the meds from the pharmacy that state this. Also if you kept the paper that all pharmacies are supposed to hand out it clearly states that it will effect birth control...use another form of contraceptive while on the meds and for 10 days after you have taken them.

I have been on amoxicillin so many times in my life. Lots of ear infections. Yes, it can affect birth control so you should definentely use back up form of birth control. Also, don't be surprised if you start having breakthrough bleeding as well while on the amoxicillin.

Yes, it is very likely that Amoxicillin will lessen the effectiveness of your contraception.
You need to make sure that you have spoken to you doctor about this, but if you haven't I wouldn't panic. You just need to make sure that you use other forms of contraception i.e. condoms. I would suggest that you continue the medication until the prescribed end of treatment, and maintain using a second method of contraception until at least a week after.
I hope this helps you.

There is a theoretical risk of the antibiotics causing the hormones in the patch to be less effective, and that risk is true for the entire cycle, even if you are using the antibiotics for only a part of the cycle. It is wisest to use a back up method or be abstinent during any cycle when you are prescribed antibiotics.

Some medicines, including antibiotics do lessen the effects of birth control pills and requires abstinence from sex, condoms, both or the ristk of pregnancy. (Just while being in treatment)
Again, this is more appropriately asked to a professional. Call the pharmacy where you filled the antibiotic and find out how much it reduces the effect of oyur BCPs.
Good luck.
