Brass Knuckles
Brass Knuckles [In the generic grouping of "Knuckledusters."] have a long and bloody history in both Europe and The United States. Probably a lot of other places as well. Carrying them on your person in virtually any State in this Country would amount to an instant arrest if searched. You would be very lucky to get away with a confiscation and a verbal warning…very lucky.

They are not one of the states to which it is illegal to sell them through the mail, like California, or New York. However, they are considered deadly weapons under Indiana law, and therefore carrying them on the person is a crime. Also, different cities in Indiana may ban them. Also they have the image of a criminal's weapon. Pepper spray is pretty effective and doesn't carry the social stigma. A three d cell metal flashlight hits a lot harder, and no one can complain. Or if you want something for your car throw in a baseball bat (with a glove and ball) or a carpenter's hammer (with a box of nails) and nobody can say a thing.

I'm not sure how the law reads in Indiana or how it is enforced. In several states brass knuckles are considered concealed weapons. If you are found with them, you will be sentenced accordingly. So if you desire to carry knuckles, be forewarned.

Not sure but I would think they would be illegal because of the huge amount of knuckle draggers that come over the state line from Ohio. LOL
Hey, just call up your local police department non-emergency phone number and ask them.

No, most brass knuckles are very legal because they are considered personal defense weapons so it is legal as long as you are 18 and don't use it as a weapon to cause bodily harm.

For your information,
Brass knuckles are illegal. They are considered paraphernalia.
It doesn't matter where you are(what state) or why you have them, the police treat them just like a concealed weapon.
If you don't care, keep them around and get a felony.
If you do care and you have "knucks" put them in a glass case and lock it.
Good luck

It's illegal to use them on someone, so other than playing with them what's the point. You aren't that much of a sissy that you need brass knuckles are you?

... only if the police find them on your hand and someone nearby is bleeding or you get patted down and they are found in your pocket. They would come under the heading of a concealed weapon.
I have a friend that got hit in the cheek, right under his eye by a bouncer wearing one. It broke his orbit socket, messed up his vision and gave him with a nasty, deep cut that took 14 stitches to close. He has a lovely permenant scar as a result.

Unless I miss my mark "Brass Knuckles" are illegal in any state (not to own but to carry and use for protection) pretty much the same for a switch blade knife, ok to own but not ok to carry
