I'm with trombass on this one.
Datsyuk is an excellent skater who is loaded with offensive skills and is widely regarded league wide as a deadly weapon (Several GMs consider him a top 5 offensive force in the NHL). However he is very suspect on defense and several teams have been able to take advantage of this so far this year.
He's young, he'll learn.

He's got some good skills. He looks like he'll be a good player. I'm thinking something like Sergei Fedorov in the 90's but with not as good of defense.

He is so talented, obviously, but honestly? He always leaves me wanting more. There is no reason that he should not be putting up 100 points a year, and yet he never seems to come close. I think he could use his teammates better, and he needs to become a better finisher. Toughness is an issue, too, especially come playoff time. So I like the guy, a lot, but I think he is an underachiever. Wings could really use for him to reach his full potential.

I think hes amazing, the way he sees the ice is incredible. Hes also a pretty good two way player.
