the stranger, i can get over the death of a pet, but knowing that i let a human life slip away would just tear me up inside.

I'd pull the stranger to safety, but he/she'd be pulling th dog at the same time.

My dog is MY responsibility so I'd have to get my dog out. Then if there was time I'd help the stranger!!

My dog, because of proximity. I would know if she needed help before I knew about the stranger.

I will pull the person out, but will lots of tears for my dog. A person's life in my opinion is more valuable. Also nowadays you can get sue for not rendering assistance to a person.
