If the learning edition will work for you try your local library and see if they have any VB6 books which may have VB6 LE bundled with it. Otherwise you may get lucky and find a download site for VB6 Learning Edition.
The newest versions of VB ( VB.Net 2005&2008 have free express versions avaiable for download from Microsoft.)
