It was supposed to end in 1968. It was also supposed to end in October of 1984, then again in September 1988, to say nothing of the turn of the 21st century. And what year did we pass through the tail of Halley's Comet? Somewhere around 1919 I think. Some horrid person is always trying to figure out how to make money out of people's fears. That 1984 thing, the guy who was spouting that was preaching about a pre-tribulation rapture, while in the lobby of the hotel where he was speaking, people were actually buying his book titled "How to Make Money During the Coming Tribulation". And that's what it's all about. I don't care what they tell us about the Mayan calendar, or at least somebody's interpretation of it; take note of the fact that the ancient Mayan culture didn't last that long. So how could we get the idea that they knew anything more than we do? We'll go when we go, and nobody will be around to note the date.

Nah. ^_^ If there is an actual End of Days it won't happen then. That's just too obvious. People are *expecting that*.

Trust me, if there's an actual End of Days coming, it will happen when *nobody* sees it coming. Nobody. Meaning it will be a fairly long ways off. We as a species might end before the world we live on does.

But....you know how our Rampaging Idiots are....12/12/12 really is too good a day to pass up. People think it means something so....don't be surprised if somewhere people *do* have something really *Stupid* planned for that day (on a par with 9-11 or worse). -_- With some people, you just cannot put it past them, can't really say they aren't *capable* of such things anymore, you know?

The Maya calender ends at this factor because a sparkling way is further into existence. Its all about diverse energies and how we may be able to apply them. Generally nobody knows when the world will end. It is in the mind of God and he alone knows it. But for individual person the end is unexpected like everyone will end through death. Therefore it is our responsibility to prepare well for we don't know the time nor the day. But we are certain that death will come any time.
