My answer to this question almost never stays the same for more than a year, because there are so many arguements that can be made. I will refrain from making any out of laziness. 1. Peyton Manning 2. Tom Brady 3. Dan Marino 4. John Elway 5. Brett Favre Hell, why not... 6. Drew Brees 7. Steve Young 8. Joe Montana 9. Johnny Unitas 10. Aaron Rodgers

Brett Favre has 60856 yards right now.

He will pass Dan Marino THIS YEAR. Favre needs to average 253 yards per game over the next two games to surpass the mark.

Favre also has most NFL career pass attempts (8648).
Favre also has most NFL career pass completions (5312).
Favre also has most NFL career consecutive starts by a QB (248), which happens to be second all time at any position (270 is 1st).

He should pass it by this season. He is throwing about 300 yards a game. He needs less than 1000 yards to beat the record this season, and he still has a good 5 games. 300 X 5 is 1500 so that gives him a lot of room to beat it. Expect it to be broken this year.

If he plays next year than theres a chance. But now that he holds the lead in touchdowns thrown, theres a good chance he might retire at the end of the season.

He needs only 506 yards. Unless someone takes him out, he'll do that in two or three more games.
