I thought it was just 2-sided tape so I could just pull em off, but i went to pull them off and they are REALLY on there, they weren't going anywhere? is there a trick to getting these off or should i muscle it? i don't want to break anything but these things suck. thanks

They should just pry off with a little muscle...maybe take a hairdryer and soften up the tape first. Scrape off any excess tape with a wooden stick or dull knife and cleanup any adhesive with WD-40. If you're real careful, you can cut through the tape close to the rain guard with a single edge razor.

You may be able to use the product Goo-Gone. It will help remove the stick from one side of the tape and then you could always go to your local auto parts store and see if they have any sticker remover to help get the rest of the tape off. If you try to muscle it off you may end up pulling paint right off with the guard or leave the tape stuck to your car. Hope this helps and good luck with the removal.

As stated...Waxed dental floss or possibly dental tape (if it's strong enough). Anything else will give you scratches. You could also try goo gone but don't leave it on the clearcoat for more than a minute.
