I answered a question and someone took it as pity of the Deaf. I don't see it that way. I was accused of pitying the Deaf because of the first part of my answer... anything after EDIT was an explanation and sort of an explosion. I don't think I pity the Deaf but I do think I need to take into consideration their needs. If no one ever did this, there never would have been Relay service, Closed Caption for television, Interpreters that are paid for by business instead of the Deaf themselves, and many other things that make life in a hearing world easier. What's your thoughts? Check out the link and my answer is about half way down.... ver_jen

I give everyone thumbs up. I appreciate all who answer my questions and I go back to review them before voting in case someone has added anything. Thank you.

Jesus A- thank you for your honest opinion. I do group myself with a group. I have OCD and it is a challenge. The only area I believe I am enriched academically in is Sign Language studies. Everything else is a crap shoot and I know I can still learn more about the Deaf. :) I rarely loose it but that is the first question that really made me loose it. I shouldn't have made the personal attack... that was low. I had just felt attacked myself so I EDITed and wound up stooping lower than I cared to go. Thanks again for the honest answer.

I am very impressed by your straight forward and honest
answer. I see absolutely nothing wrong. Perhaps that
person who criticized you had constipation or some other
gastric disorder that day. Please, please don't let something
like that bother you. I have seen your answersbefore and believe me you are one of the better persons on this venue.
And I'm honoured to have you as a contact. I wish I could have more contacts like you, but a lot of the time I try to add they've told me that I've reached my limit.

Your words speak for themselves. Now ask yourself this question: what physical challenge or mental challenge do you possess that groups you into a "different category"? Do you consider yourself academically enriched? Well most academically enriched people (I used to consider myself one) have class .... LOW CLASS and a whole lot of it. Anytime I raise myself above someone else because of a physical challenge they have, I get stepped on when they can show me up with an enriched quality that I DO NOT have! Make fun and have pity on yourself ... we don't care nor need it. Be nice instead. It takes HIGH CLASS to be nice, considerate and cordial. Remember the phrase "you have class, LOW CLASS, but a whole lot of it".? Try it for size.
