Hey there!

Here's the answer.

angle E+angle F+angle G=180 --> Write the Triangle Sum Theorem.
x+25+2x+30+2x=180 --> Substitute the known values.
5x+55=180 --> Simplify.
5x=125 --> Subtract 55 on both sides of the equation.
x=25 --> Divide 5 on both sides of the equation.
angle E=x+25 --> Write the problem.
angle E=25+25 --> Substitute 25 for x.
angle E=50 --> Add 25 and 25.
angle F=2x+30 --> Write the problem.
angle F=2(25)+30 --> Substitute 25 for x.
angle F=50+30 --> Multiply 2 and 25.
angle F=80 --> Add 50 and 30.
angle G=2x --> Write the problem.
angle G=2(25) --> Substitute 25 for x.
angle G=50 --> Multiply 2 and 25.
angle E=angle G --> Set equal statements.
EF=FG Use the Converse of the Base Angles Theorem.

So the correct answer is D.

Hope it helps!

Add the angles to = 180

You get 5x + 55 = 180, so 5x = 125, and x = 25.

So angle E = 50, angle F = 80, and angle G = 50.

The sides opposite E and G are =

So FG = EF . D is true.

okay, so the total of all angle measures is 180 deg.
measure of angle E = x + 25 ,
measure of angle F = 2x + 30 ,
measure of angle G = 2x
so
x+25+2x+30+2x=180
5x+55=180
5x=125
x=25
measure of angle E = x + 25=50
measure of angle F = 2x + 30=80
measure of angle G = 2x=50
Because E ang G are congruent angles, the sides opposite them are also congruent. This means EF is congruent to FG.
D

d. if you add up the three angles(x+25) + (2x + 30)+ (2x) and set them equal to 180. 5x+55=180 so x =25. E=50 and G=50 so they are your equal angles so the sides opposite are equal.
