I have oxidation on the roof of my car (10 yr old) and rubbing compound has not worked to remove it. If I scrape my fingernail on it, it comes off, but of course, probably not the best option since I may be removing the paint as well! Any suggestions?

If rubbing compound doesn't do it you probably need to sand and paint. Did you work at the rubbing compound ? It might take several try's.

Whoa tough one here. I would like to answer a new paint job. You should have not used compound in the first place.
