La Crosse, WI / Winona, MN area. I grew up there and the bluffs along the Mississippi are beautiful! I've been all over the country and there's no place like it. From St. Charles, MN to Houston, La Crescent, La Crosse WI...its all gorgeous! And there's so much to do there in the winter (snowmobiling, ice fishing, skiing, etc), but I guess it all depends on what you like. Its where I'll be spending my hoidays.
And if you're a partier like me, I HIGHLY recommend 3rd Street in La Crosse...it held the record for most bars on one city block. :)

It depends. Do you want to see scenery or do you want to experience the "culture"? For culture, try the midwest - St. Louis or Chicago or Cleveland. For Scenery, go to Yellowstone in Wyoming or any of the national parks in Utah.
