Although all life is valuable, I think those that have already been born should take priority. There are many children all over the world as well as right here at home that are suffering one way or another. Through abuse, hunger, poverty, neglect, etc. They should come first before any more can be born into those dire circumstances.

I don't think an "unborn" anything has inherent value except in the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the mother.

If the mother dies, so does the dream.

I'm pro-choice but I also think people should wait and be more responsible about the choice to have children so that abortion isn't such an imminent decision.

Alas, I will never change anyone's mind on this...

I think I see what you are asking...

Let me try it,
Which is of more "value?".....an unborn child, or the woman who is pregnant with that child ALONG with her already-born children? Is that it?

All are equally "valuable" as far as human beings are considered "valuable." Whether embryo, fetus, or infant we are still talking about a human being. To place less value on an unborn child (to "justify" to oneself that abortion is a feasible choice) is developmental discrimination. An embryo is no less human than a toddler, a teenager, or a senior citizen. The fact that the little person is still inside his or her mother and not out walking around is just logistics and geography; where you are does not change what you are. (But that depends on your value system, doesn't it?)

Isn't the word "value" alone a little vague? In what terms are you thinking of "value"? Economic? Moral? Familial?

Plus, the answer will vary according to one's perspective forever and ever. It's a question that has no definite answer. It's like asking:

"Who's more valuable, me or you?"

The woman and her children deserve choices like the guys that chose to walk away then have the balls to be a right to life jerk.

All innocent human life is of equal value. This question is kind of sick.

One of them is a living, breathing human. The other is slightly more biologically complex than an amoeba.
