I would just like a couple of different answers so that I can better understand my husband's motivation. If any females have some insight, please help me.

I am not sure that I can truly explain why I do it. My kids always ask which team I want to win. Sometimes, I could really care less who wins, I just want to watch the game.

I think the mentality is different from other sports as well. 16 games per season per team, plus playoffs, is a lot different than baseball, basketball, and hockey. The other sports teams play multiple times a week over several months. We get 'this one chance' to watch some football, so we take it.

It's the excitement because there's never a dull moment in watching football. A bag of potato chips, some beers, a few friends, and you have a day at home with your legs propped up on the couch.

The games are just so exciting! Why only do it on Sundays, college ball is awesome (especially this season). I can't really explain it, but I just love everything about the game. You can make this argument for any sport, though. If you don't like it, it will seem mundane to you, but if you're into it, it's the greatest thing.

Cheers!

That's easy. Get a big bag of chips and a gallon of milk and a comfy sofa and you're in for a good 11 hours of football.

Football is just fun to watch. I love seeing players laying out other players, that's why Sean Taylor is my favorite player.
