I need to know whether they like fend for themselves or try to find other crickets, something like that. But I can't find anything.

The only purpose for getting together with other crickets is reproduction. You may find a lot of crickets in a given area due to an abundance of food in that area. When they sing it is usually the male and he is trying to attract a female.
