I don't think it could possibly happen now...they've got two losses, and there will be several teams either undefeated or with only one loss. They'll get into a BCS bowl...probably the Sugar bowl...assuming they avoid an upset by Tennessee.

The BCS computers could malfunction and let them in if Missouri and West Virginia were to lose next week and LSU were to improve enough in the human polls. Then, they could end up playing Ohio State, which is a game they'd probably win. However, their national title wouldn't be taken seriously by most of the country (it'd be a repeat of 2003 when USC was the nationally accepted champion, but LSU was recognized by the BCS and in the south).

The winner of the Big 12 championship might be 1. If LSU wins really big in the SEC championship, maybe the second. But there is always West Virginia. They deserve a shot.

I don't think it is mathematically possible in the BCS standings. Plus, they still need to win the SEC Championship game. They have 2 losses. Currently Ohio St. and Georgia are #3 and #4 respectively in the BCS standings released today. Look for those two teams to reach the #1 or #2 spots if West Virginia (current #2) and/or Missouri (current #1) lose next weekend in their respective conference championship games.

Yeah, I know it sounds crazy...but this HAS been a craaaazzzy year for college football....but heck...sure has been exciting!

i do no longer think of it is as confusing as anybody else says. I see quite a few procedures they could make it. relatively, all they want is for Auburn to lose, and Auburn has 2 somewhat lose-in a position video games left, extremely once you think approximately that they actually could have lost to South Carolina the 1st time they performed. they do no longer could win the SEC. If Auburn loses this previous due, they'll fall under LSU interior the rankings, and Auburn's in all threat unlikely to surpass them back in spite of in the event that they win the SEC. This bumps LSU as much as a minimum of #4 interior the BCS. quite a few human beings obtainable have faith that a one-loss SEC team belongs interior the identify recreation in the previous Boise State and TCU, consisting of quite a few the electorate. a number of those human beings will, little question, vote LSU in simple terms before TCU and Boise State. Then think of concerning the desktops--the desktops love LSU, greater so than TCU and Boise State. LSU has Arkansas their final recreation. winning this recreation, mixed with some electorate putting LSU in simple terms before Boise State and TCU and the desktops, could provide LSU adequate of a enhance to bypass one or the two communities. TCU has no poll-boosting video games left, and that they weren't techniques-blowing adequate against San Diego State. Their greatest recreation replaced into against Utah, and Utah replaced into now for sure puffed up--their loss to Notre Dame hurts TCU. Boise State's greatest recreation left would be Nevada, yet that's in contrast to playing Arkansas. the two a style of communities in all threat will lose factors interior the BCS on an identical time as LSU will benefit. I mean, base line--if Auburn loses, you will hear further and extra human beings lobbying for LSU by using fact of their schedule and because they are interior the SEC. quite a few persons are lifeless set against a non-AQ playing for the identify, too.

nope, they're done! I am a huge LSU fan and when I saw their performance against Arkansas, I saw they were not national championship worthy. Sorry man! Better luck next year, GEAUX TIGERS!

YES THEY DO...this is how...Pitt beats West Virginia (unlikely but it was also unlikely for Ark beating LSU) OU LSU wins beats Tenn in the SEC championship. If that happens LSU should jump over Georgia who didnt even win their divison and should jump over Kansas and VT. Kansas (weak schedule, didnt win conf) VT got beat by LSU 48-7 in week 2.

Geaux Tigers!!!

No, they won't jump Ohio State if Missouri loses. They should, but they won't. Which sucks. And West Virginia will no way lose to Pitt. If Ohio State played in the SEC they might be a .500 team.
