Yes, hydrogen is the king of rocket fuels with more bang for the buck than anything we know. The Apollo/Saturn second and third stages used it as does the Space Shuttle to achieve orbit. Hyperbolic* fuel was used for the Apollo spacecraft propulsion because of it simplicity and reliability.
