My computer locks up after 5min.?

If I'm on a website for more than 5 min. the hourglass symbol appears where the cursor is. How can I spend more time on page without a non-responsive pop-up appearing?

Check for viruses... If no virus is found, sometime the power supply could be going bad after a few minutes it starts heating up. Also make sure the cpu cooling fan is working properly.

Clean out your cache files.
Defragment.
Virus scan.
More memory.
