Tony Conigliaro, or "Tony C" in 1965 lead the American League with 32 home runs in only his second major league season. At the time he was only 20 and went on to be the quickest hitter to 100 HRs.
He was tradegicaly hit in the left checkbone on August 18th, 1967 by Jack Hamillton. He was carried off on a stretcher and even after his comeback he was never the same.
He died early Feburary of 1990. Great man, even better ball player

Tony Conigliaro of the Red Sox at age 20 with 32 homers. I think he was also the youngest to reach 100 homers at age 22.
