and i don't mean by putting them into something cuz the thing i want to work has like 6 slots and i accidently mixed the old batterys with the new ones and i don't know witch are the dead ones and witch are the new ones

You can test the voltage with a multimeter, or some batteries you buy come with an inbuilt tester. Failing that get a torch globe and a piece of wire. Wrap the wire around the globe, place the globe on the + end of the battery and the end of the wire on the - end, and see which lights brighter.

Da, sounds like you may need to take them all to RadioShack and see if someone will test them for you.
They do make testers for batterys.

take each one and lick the end of them if you get shocked its a good one if you dont get shocked its most likely a bad one
