For my English research paper I'm writing about Shakespeare's inspiration for his many masterpieces. Can someone please tell me where I might find information about what his inspiration was? Any insightful books about his life and experiences? I plan on going by my college library tomorrow and need a clue as to where to look for answers. Thank you.

A visit to your college library is an excellent idea. They probably have several editions of Shakespeare's complete works. The Riverside Shakespeare is the one I know best, but there are other good ones. Read the introductions to a few of your favorite plays, or the ones you consider to be his greatest masterpieces. That will give you some valuable information about the sources he drew on.
