In plant cells there a formation of cell plate by the dictyosomes.
In animal cells there is a formation of contractile belt in the plasma membrane causing the cell to pinch off into two daughter cells.

in animals cells=cleavage furrow forms at cells equator.

when cytokenisis occurs in a plant cell, there is a cell wall (i believe made of cellulose) but there is no cell wall for animal cells.
