If guys are scared away by the fact that she is waiting, they are not worth waiting for. It means that they were only in it for one thing and when they found out they weren't going to get it, they cut out. It is her choice and any decent guy will understand that.

Let her know that it is great that she is remaining a virgin. She is saving herself not just FOR the right guy but FROM a ton of problems. No unplanned pregnancy for her and no sexually transmitted diseases. Tell her she is a wise woman.

Unfortunately, it will be hard for her. Today's women give it up so easily that men find it difficult to accept someone with high moral standards. So she will have people who make fun of her and try to talk her out of her standards. Tell her to just be the strong woman that she is inside.

And someday, the right man will come along who will truly appreciate her decision. Trust me.

Oh come on, think about it. It is so special, so awesome, so unique in these times that of course people are going to question it and also admire someone who can hold out for the right one and the right time. One thing that doesn't have to be questioned is the respect everyone has for this person.

How old is she? Perhaps, she is waiting to meet a man she feels comfortable being with. There is nothing wrong with this. Losing your virginity and sex, are both huge responsibilities. If she hasn't met a guy she would be willing to raise a child with, if she became pregnant, then she is making the right decision in remaining a virgin.

The answer depends on the person asking the question but some people do not understand why other people live differently - ultimately it is none of their business. I don't understand the statement that she keeps scaring them away - it may be that those guys only wish to have sex and thus they don't want to be bothered with your friend.

It's hard but she needs to maintain her purity and choose to be with those people who will honour her decision rather than questioning or criticising it.

virginity is a personal choice, and definitely the right ONE. You shouldn't have to discuss this with anyone, so if someone asks, simply say it's my choice..end of discussion. The right guy won't be scared away. He'll wait for marriage. So that's a RED FLAG. If a guy brings it up, tell him goodbye.

There's alot of reasons why virgins choose to keep their virginities.
There's always that risk of becoming pregnant or getting STD's.
She needs to find a man that will respect her virtues and morals. Her kind of man will respect that, and wait until she's ready.

I am a virgin and fine with it. A lot of people in my school aren't virgins, but that doesn't mean we have to give in to peer presure. About 70% of teens coming out of high school aren't virgins, but the 30% that are must know that there is someone out there that they will eventually care about enough to have a child with.

Men are assholes *thumbsup*

IF you are saving yourself for someone special its kind of stupid considering that she will probably lose her virginity at the age of 17 or so thinking that this person is "The one" but the real reason she should not want to have sex is to not get pregnant im sure she will come along some really really nice guy that will have sex with her then a few months later leave her =\ but keeping yourself for someone special...if all guys did that...then that 'Someone special' would get sex for about 2 minutes...-_-

To You.

Your friend is like a Diamond. Extremely hard to find. But once these horny little devil's learn that she is a virgin...well because they are immature and act like little boys with small brains...well you understand.

When I was very young I heard a saying.

To all the virgins of the world.....thanks for nothing.

Cheers !

Tell her she's making a wonderful choice. I used to be like her... always wanting to save myself for a special guy... and it did suck because over and over again I'd get dumped because I didn't want to have sex right away. I got sick of it and gave it up to someone who ended up cheating on me. :/ So... just be there for her and tell her to keep it up. If a guy really cares about her, he'll respect her decision.
