I believe Freeview is free for public viewing ...

Sky will cost an arm and a leg .. they charge by 'Ratable Value' .. I would guess a typical Pub is likely to be in Sky 'Band O' which means the cost will be approx £1,400 per MONTH (£16,800 a year)

(Don't know where the other guy got £10 from .. in his dreams perhaps :-) )

Some pubs in southern england (where ratable values are highest) have been signing up to foreign satellite TV (eg. Arabic channel ART, Greece’s SuperSport, Canal+ Nordic or Albanian DigitAlb) to get (much) cheaper Premier League Football .. however this is 'illegal' since the foreign broadcasters are not permitted to broadcast outside their own territory (and thus residents of other countries eg UK can not legally purchase a subscription from them)

... also some Pubs with a residential Sky subscription are allowing public viewing (something not permitted under the terms & conditions of a residential subscription) .. if (when) Sky finds out they will cancel the subscription...

well free view is a option with the first out lay but then free for as long as you wish to have it and these are free-view boxes, or sky sky which you get loads more channels the better quality plus its only something like £7.50-£10.00 a month and being a pub owner that's about 3 pints or a few shots to sell extra a month lol!!! any way they are good and the links below
