and for all of her putting down on her. her mom is a person who mooches off the government. she has some ppl fooled but not most of us. she is a victimizer and spreads lies about her own family just for ppl to feel sorry for her. and idk if the checks are in her name or not. my gf doesnt even see the checks.

Normally, mom gets it all unless the his will says differently. If there is a will, and nothing is left to the wife, no one will get his Social Security money. Only the spouse can get a portion of their spouses Social Security money.

I ASSUME YOU GF IS UNDER 18 OR IN COLLEGE AND UNDER I BELIEVE 24, IF UNDER 18 THE MOTHER HAS CONTROL SINCE A MINOR IS NOT ABLE TO MAKE DECISIONS LEGALLY= MEANING ABOUT FINANCES. AND THE MOTHER PROBABLY MAKES SURE THAT THERE IS ROOF OVER HER HEAD AND FOOD ON THE TABLE GO MOM. IF THE MOM IS FINANCIALLY ABLE THEN SHE COULD LET YOUR GF HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE SS (SAME AS CHILD SUPPORT) CHECK. IF YOUR GF IS OVER 18 AND IN COLLEGE THEN YOUR GF SHOULD GET THE CHECK UNLESS MOM PAYS ALL THE BILLS OF COLLEGE, EITHER WAY I PERSONAL FEEL THAT IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN WHO GETS WHAT AND WHY, IF YOUR BROKE GET A JOB.

Do the Social Security checks come in your girlfriend's name? I didn't think so. It is meant to pay for rent, utilities, food, and clothing for her until she graduates high school (in lieu of the child support her father cannot pay). It is not for your girlfriend to spend as she sees fit.
I assume that the trust fund is there to pay for college. She should not waste it on anything else.

Doesn't her mom pay all the bills like rent, food, and clothing, not to mention everything else that comes up...
That money is intended to support the child, not as an allowance.
While they both have emotional pain, only the mother is the one suffering financially due to the loss of the husband.

If she thinks she should get the checks, then she should move out, get a job and pay all her own bills.

Yes, I would think she should try to get her share.
