the camp dosn't have to be in Texas, but it would be nice if it was.

The (only) "Actor Training Exposure" I have had is the one offered by Millie Lewis Inc. I attended this "Actor Camp" in my local Acting Guild.
And then I attended a Stage acting class at my community college.
It is a Nationally accredited Acting Agency.
GOOD LUCK! (or should I say "Break a leg!"?)

Eugene O'Neill Theater out of Waterford, Connecticut. Right on a rustic beach.

Look it up on-line. It'll cost your folks some money to get you there, but if they're serious in helping you, then it's a good place to start.

I had a friend who wrote an episode for "M.A.S.H.". It was the one where either Hawkeye or Father Mulcahy (I can never remember which... ) lost his father. She was only 12 at the time. And because of that, she never got paid, but the local paper *did* dedicate an entire article to her efforts!

That, and she will always know that she has that as her first successful accomplishment at screen writing and acting. (She was interested in both.)

She then went onto New York to a college there to study writing and I'm sure even dabbled in acting...

I mentioned her 'cos she put on a play at the abovementioned theater. Her first name is Christian. Yes, "Christian". I'm sure someone there will remember her.

Another actor to have come from that "cradle" was Jeffrey Carlson. He played a short role on the ABC soap opera, “All My Children".

I'm not sure if the theater is known as a "camp", so to speak, but I *do* know that they put on sessions that are not over until the final product, the play they're currently working on, is done.

My suggestion to you would be to look into anything you choose, further and to be prepared to take either one of your parents or a trusted adult companion along as it's gonna be a rough, *but truly enlightening*, experience and you'll need all the support you can get.

Good luck in *whatever* you choose to do!
